Jess is an Editor. She obtained a first-class degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford University, where she was given the nickname ‘Crossword Girl’. She’s been at Puzzles HQ longer than sudokus, both as a magazine editor and as a compiler of codebreakers and crosswords.

As the parent of a young daughter, she’s most often puzzling over why there’s avocado up her sleeve or where her youth went, but she finds time for weekly Dungeons & Dragons nights and the odd cryptic crossword.
