The Irish Examiner goes with a double definition for their first cryptic crossword clue today:

They’re pointing us towards a four-letter word which can mean ‘a kick’ as well as ‘a horse’ — HACK.

There are lots of ways in which ‘hack’ might be used (think breaking into a computer program, or a nasty cough). However, in this case, the double definition at work is:

a kick on the shins, as in rugby {noun}

and

a horse for riding {noun}

Will you be able to hack the rest of the clues?
