Anne is an Editorial Assistant at Puzzles HQ. She comes from a family of avid puzzlers and Scrabble fans, who still play online and in person, with ever more elaborate house rules.

Her degrees in English language and linguistics led her into a career in publishing. She has 13 years’ editorial experience, mainly in educational, academic and reference publishing. As an editor at Collins Language and Chambers Harrap Publishers, she worked on puzzles and games reference products, as well as English dictionaries.

Some of her career highlights include working with crossword legend :a[Anne Bradford]{href='https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/anne-bradford-obituary-cpzndbwb2' target='_blank' rel='noreferrer noopener'} on _Collins Bradford’s Crossword Solver’s Dictionary_ and editing _Chambers Crossword Lists_ and _Chambers Crossword Dictionary_.

A long-time Francophile, she’s always after an excuse to jump on the Eurostar. French puzzle mags are a recent find, though she admits rather a challenge!
