Viewers of 8 January’s episode of TV quiz Only Connect will have heard that Thrifters team captain Sam Haywood is a former contributor to Take a Break Puzzle Magazines. Much to host Victoria Coren Mitchell’s delight, Sam revealed that he’d won a £30 prize for a puzzle he sent in to Take a Puzzle as a youngster.
Well, we’ve dug into the archives and found his creation! Congratulations Sam on your game show prowess — as editor of Take a Puzzle at the time, forgive me if I vicariously bask in your glory.
