The puzzle version of Battleships is much like the board game, where the goal is to locate and identify ships within a grid.

The key shows you how many ships of which sizes are hidden in the grid, and the numbers along the side and top of the grid indicate how many parts of ships can be found in their respective row or column.

Ships can lie either horizontally or vertically, but they cannot touch each other, even diagonally. In a 10x10 square puzzle you will need to place four gunboats, three submarines, two destroyers and one battleship.

Using the hits and misses provided at the start, fill in ship parts and mark off squares around them.
