Sonia is an Editor and the longest-serving member of Puzzles HQ, having been here for 22 years. She can’t imagine leaving and having to do a ‘proper job’ anywhere else now.
Sonia has always loved word play and met her husband while temping in between studying for an English degree — he would pretend to need help with his crossword during their breaks. The ruse worked and they now enjoy watching quiz shows together with their two children, The Wheel being a firm favourite.
Sonia has been on TV a couple of times herself, winning The Weakest Link in 2007 and then appearing on Impossible in 2017. During lockdown she ran a few quizzes over Zoom to raise money for charity and had lots of fun pretending to be Anne Robinson.
She especially loves doing her job in the summer when she gets to take her work out into the garden and solve some crosswords in the sunshine.
