Darralyn is one of Puzzles HQ’s Sub-Editors. She’s been here for two years, following a career change, and believes she’s finally solved the puzzle of where she belongs career-wise.
Board games were a big part of her childhood, played with her big sister and their friends, and she has many fond memories of family crossword-solving sessions at her grandparents’ home.
With a German and Italian degree and an MA in Translation Studies, she’s always been fascinated by the power and complexity of words and language, and as a murder mystery lover, puzzles provide her with the perfect opportunity to put her sleuthing skills to the test!
She never dreamt that her puzzle-solving hobby could become a job, and as well as getting to do what she loves every day, her smart and interesting colleagues make for a great working environment.
Favourite puzzle: Any word puzzle (cryptic crosswords are particularly fun)
Favourite game: Cranium, or Cluedo (so I can play at being a detective)
